The Catalyst Geneve
FREE improvisation* workshop in english** for scientists*** March 1st, 18h30, CMU, room C07.1732.a After a hard day at work, nothing better to lighten up the rest of your week than an improvisation (improv) workshop. It is fun, fast and made up on the spot. No need to have experience in theatre, improv or any performance art. Give a good stretch to your imagination, silence your inner critic, discover your inner clown and meet new like-minded people! Improvisational skills enable scientists to present their work in an engaging and productive manner, both to communicate new research and to illuminate the process of scientific reasoning for the general public. * Improv is the art of making things up out of thin air. ** English is the language of science, why not practicing it while having fun? *** Hard sciences, humanities, engineering, medicine… The Catalyst is a group of scientific researchers using entertainment as a means of engagement with the public. We hold weekly improvisation sessions in Lausanne and (now) Geneva, designed for the scientific community. We also offer a variety of workshops that teach theater and speaking skills to scientists or other groups. www.thecatalyst.ch
